About GWEN

Gwen Buckles is the owner & Permanent Makeup Artist of Designing Faces. She has performed over 2000 Permanent Cosmetic Procedures.

Gwen has been in the Permanent Cosmetic field for 15 years. She was previously a Radiation Therapist for 20 years, working in Cancer Centers in TN, VA, NC & SC. She was also a Director of a Cancer Center in the Charlotte area for 6 years.

After her first career Gwen decided to pursue her passion in the beauty industry. She did a 12 month apprenticeship to prepare herself for permanent makeup business.

Gwen is permitted by State of Tennessee Health Department. She has received training for OSHA compliance. She has had advanced training in all areas of Permanent Cosmetics. She also does continuing education classes every two years, to keep up with the latest trends in Permanent Makeup. She has performed hundreds of eyebrow, eyeliner & lipcolor procedures. She is recommended by Doctors offices such as Plastic Surgeons, Ophthalmologists and Dermatologists.

Gwen has been trained in Para-Medical training which includes: Areola restoration for Mastectomy and Breast reconstruction patients. She is one of the few in the area who perform three dimensional technique for areola (nipple) patients.

Gwen is also specially trained in Skin Needling. Skin Needling is a skin treatment that can remove fine lines, sun spots, age spots, tightens sagging skin and improves the overall texture and appearance of your skin by using your own body to naturally build collagen. The results are amazing and is a favorite treatment of many of her clients.
